What it is
Deep neck is a surgical approach to the neck in its deep planes. Beyond the skin and superficial fat, the technique addresses the structures beneath the platysma (the thin muscle that covers the front of the neck), such as the deep fat, the digastric muscles and, in selected cases, the submandibular glands.

Who it is for
The indication is always individual and defined at the consultation. In general, deep neck surgery is discussed in the following situations:
- Loss of definition of the angle between the neck and the jaw
- Fullness under the chin related to deep structures
- Visible platysma bands at the front of the neck
- Planning face and neck together, when indicated
